Gaby recently relocated to the Seattle area from Northern Virginia. She graduated from Shenandoah University with her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies after working several years as an ophthalmic technician, medical assistant and earning her certification as an EMT. She was first introduced to the oral immunotherapy (OIT) world by an asthma and allergy office during her clinical rotations. Her medical career as a PA started in the field of pediatrics, which she found to be extremely rewarding to say the least, and she is excited to continue working at Columbia Asthma & Allergy at the Bellevue clinic alongside Dr. Jain. Gaby is looking forward to helping educate patients about their allergies/asthma/autoimmune conditions, discussing management and disease prevention, and helping make a difference in their everyday lives. She hopes to also help provide families with reassurance during their food challenges and SLIT/OIT journeys. She enjoys hiking, painting, and spending time with her loving husband in her free time.
“I chose this field because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of those living with allergies, asthma and immunologic/hereditary conditions. Not all specialties allow providers to see the true benefits of their treatment, and I am grateful to be a part of the journey.” – Gaby Romero, PA-C Since the doors of Columbia Asthma and Allergy Clinic opened in 2007, our providers and staff have desensitized tens-of-thousands of individuals to their food and environmental allergies.
