Renu Gandhe, MD, is a board-certified allergy, immunology, and asthma specialist at Columbia Asthma & Allergy Clinic in Fremont and Sunnyvale, California.
Dr. Gandhe was born and raised in India. She completed her medical degree at the highly-regarded Government Medical College, Nagpur in Maharashtra, India.
Upon relocating to the United States, Dr. Gandhe completed her residency in pediatrics at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. She followed up her residency by completing a fellowship training program in allergy and clinical immunology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
Dr. Gandhe, who is board certified in pediatrics, practiced as an allergist and immunologist in Marin County, California, for two years before moving a little south to Fremont in 2016 and joining the team at Columbia Asthma & Allergy Clinic.
Dr. Gandhe makes an effort to develop relationships with all of her patients so she can better educate them about their own conditions, a strategy that she strongly believes results in the best treatment outcomes. She also offers food allergy talks to local pediatricians, school nurses, and teachers to educate her community as well as her patients.
