Melissa received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Florida Gulf Coast University, in Fort Myers, Florida. She received her M.M.S in Physician Assistant from Nova Southeastern University in 2011 and worked in primary care from 2011 to 2016 in Florida. She joined Dr. Jain at Columbia Asthma and Allergy Clinic in May 2016.

Ms. Hutton lives in Alameda with her husband and dog, Sophia. She enjoys yoga, traveling, hiking, and reading.
